Good morning! Let’s take a quick run on down to Georgia to evaluate the day’s weather.
At 758AM ,ET, Valdosta was reporting a temperature of 68 degrees with clear skies. It was already quite muggy, with dewpoints in the upper 60s to low 70s at this time of morning. Across the region, skies were generally clear, but hot and stuffy, as they often are at this time of year.
There is weak high pressure over the region, though a more apt description may be “an absence of organized low pressure.” A strong area of thunderstorms that has been rumbling since last night is drawing the focus across the region. The vorticity maximum moving from the eastern Great Lakes southeastward will reorganized and pass through the Carolinas overnight tomorrow, and the sea breeze will become active over the Florida Peninsula, but Valdosta will remain dry, Very muggy, but dry.
