Blazing in the valley

There wasn’t really a pattern to the heat in Chico. There was some suspicion that cooler air would filter into the Sacramento Delta to bring temperatures down a degree or two as a weak change in flow was forecast at the back side of a ridge. Instead, temperatures actually climbed a couple of degrees from Monday to Tuesday. That was weird. Actually, it wasn’t too far off, considering we were trying to plan around changes in topography and a fairly weak overall pattern, and the vagaries those two things can bring about. You can never really be sure in interior California. Accuweather had the top forecast thanks to their steady numbers,
Actuals: Monday – High 100, Low 64
Tuesday – High 102, Low 66
