Temperatures in Georgia were supposed to be capped by overcast skies. Instead, the highs in Valdosta climbed deeper into the 90s than anyone expected. This was enough of a destabilizing force to lead to a few showers across the region both Saturday and Sunday. The Weather Channel had rain in the forecast both days of the weekend, and also had the warmest overnight lows, which was the difference this time around. That overcast couldn’t keep temperatures down, but they did trap the warm air overnight.
Actuals: Saturday, Trace of rain, High 91, Low 69
Sunday – Trace of rain, High 93, Low 70
