Valdosta, Georgia

We are going to run off to south Georgia for the last forecast of the work week. Are you ready for a steamy weekend?

At 1153AM, ET, Valdosta was reporting a temperature of 84 degrees with clear skies. While there was a deep trough over the center of the country, there was also a strong ridge located over Georgia.
Through tomorrow morning, the upper level trough producing the wet weather for the Mississippi Valley will lose amplitude and form a broader trough north of the Ozarks. The jet streak that had formed the exit region of the trough will dissipate rapidly. Still, there will be flow off the Gulf into the region, even if there isn’t much forcing to sweep it away. Expect a hot, humid weekend with isolated, general thunderstorms across the region. It will be the first truly summerlike weekend of the season! IT should be warm enough on Sunday that the atmosphere is capped, and thunderstorms are unlikely.
Tomorrow – Mostly cloudy, humid with a chance for rain, High 86, Low 66
Monday – Even warmer, still mostly cloudy, High 89, Low 65

TWC: Tomorrow Scattered T-Storms High 87, Low 68
Sunday – Isolated T-Storms High 90, Low 67

AW: Tomorrow – Mostly cloudy and humid High 88, Low 65
Sunday – Partly sunny High 90, Low 63

NWS: Tomorrow – A slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, High 89, Low 66
Sunday – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny High 92, Low 63

WB: Tomorrow – Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers in the morning…then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 88, Low 64
Sunday – Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High 91, Low 63

WN: Tomorrow – Mostly Cloudy with Isolated Showers High 90. Low 66
Sunday – Partly Cloudy with Scattered Storms High 91, Low 63

Weathernation has significantly improved their site. I feel like this could lead to more competitive forecasts. In the mean time, chec out the monster system moving through the Plains.
