Chico, California

Good afternoon friends. We are setting forth on a western forecast adventure today, at the site of the very first Victoria-Weather Forecast 6 years ago.

At 1159AM, PT, Chico was reporting a temperature of 73 degrees with sunny skies. There was a great deal of surface moisture just off shore, but there were no motivating influences off the coast to drive the low clouds and fog too far inland, so clouds being seen in the Bay Area even into the early afternoon will remain just that: Clouds over the Bay Area.
To the west, an undercutting just trough along the Arizona/New Mexico border with Mexico is giving some organization to the last gasps of the monsoonal flow. Fortunately for anyone hoping to catch some sun in Chico, this organization will be confined to the central Rockies and won’t be able to clear the Sierras into the northern California Valley.
Tomorrow – Sunny, High 91, Low 61
Friday – Sunny and even warmer, High 95, Low 64

TWC: Tomorrow – Sunny High 93, Low 61
Friday – Sunny High 97, Low 64

AW: Tomorrow – Mostly sunny and warm high 96, Low 61
Friday – Plenty of sun High 97, Low 65

NWS: Sunny High 92, Low 63
Friday – Sunny High 95, Low 65

WB: Tomorrow -Mostly sunny. High 92, Low 63
Friday – Mostly sunny. High 94, Low 65

Satellite is pretty unremarkable for Chico, but you can really see some clouds coming off the ocean and make out where the higher terrain is producing some clouds.
