Good afternoon friends. We are setting forth on a western forecast adventure today, at the site of the very first Victoria-Weather Forecast 6 years ago.
At 1159AM, PT, Chico was reporting a temperature of 73 degrees with sunny skies. There was a great deal of surface moisture just off shore, but there were no motivating influences off the coast to drive the low clouds and fog too far inland, so clouds being seen in the Bay Area even into the early afternoon will remain just that: Clouds over the Bay Area.
To the west, an undercutting just trough along the Arizona/New Mexico border with Mexico is giving some organization to the last gasps of the monsoonal flow. Fortunately for anyone hoping to catch some sun in Chico, this organization will be confined to the central Rockies and won’t be able to clear the Sierras into the northern California Valley.
