It’s an early morning forecast from wine country. Perhaps if you were enjoying a little too much wine last night, you might have been up in time to see this forecast get issued.
At 154am PDT, the temperature at Napa, CA was 59 degrees under fair skies. While the forecast over the next two days isn’t exactly high pressure owing to a ridge, it will be high pressure nevertheless. There is a strong ridge in the center of the country, and at least on the west coast, the bookend troughs are diving too far south. In Napa, the base of the upper level trough will only reach as far south as central Oregon, and this will mean a pair of quiet, perhaps slightly breezy days in Napa.
