After a week in which our forecasts took us through a stalled boundary and flooding persistent rain, it was easy to forget that a lot of the country was still dry. Santa Barbara, for example, had some morning fog but not threat of rain. Temperatures were cooler than expected as the marine layer was slower to depart than models anticipated, which resulted in a victory for the Weather Service and Weatherbug.
