A hot wind moves down the plain

West winds blowing off the Rockies into Billings made things very warm for Montana’s largest city. Even after a so called cold front moved through the city, it stayed hot. That is the power of dry air, down-sloping winds and a little bit of sun. There was a bit of rain and a thunderstorm as the cold front slipped by, which was the difference for Victoria-Weather, who had the top forecast.
