In about 4 days, I will pass through Atlanta. Not quite within the valid time of the forecast today.
At 952AM, ET, Atlanta was reporting a temperature of 66 degrees, with mostly cloudy skies in the wake of a cold front that lies between Atlanta and Athens. High pressure is expected to settle in this afternoon behind the slow moving boundary.
The occluding low that has generated the slow moving front will sit north of Atlanta for about 24 more hours, and as a result, there may be some clouds in the area for a while through tomorrow, but as the front stall s over north Florida an the low drifts towards the eastern Carolinas, skies will clear and a beautiful Wednesday afternoon and Thursday are in store for Atlanta.
Tomorrow – Cloudy early, then clearing, High 78, Low 54
Thursday – Sunny and warmer – High 83, Low 54
TWC: Tomorrow – Partly Cloudy High 79, Low 54
Thursday – Partly Cloudy High 82, Low 54
AW: Tomorrow – Partly sunny and nice High 78, Low 56
Thursday – Nice with sunshine and patchy clouds High 83, Low 58
NWS: Tomorrow – Mostly sunny, High 77, Low 56
Thursday – Sunny, High 82, Low 56
WB: Tomorrow – Mostly sunny. High 78, Low 55
Thursday – Sunny High 83, Low 54
Thursday in Minneapolis will bring a brisk change to the atmosphere in the Twin Cities, and will be awesome in Atlanta. Atlanta wins. The satellite for the city looks pretty murky in the southeast, but it’s all clearing out!
