I will be heading to Iowa City next month. This forecast will not go out quite that far.
At 552PM CT, Iowa City was reporting mostly cloudy skies with a temperature of 57 degrees. A healthy dose of cool weather had invaded Iowa in the wake of a cold front now moved on to Illinois. Most of the rain associated with this boundary was post frontal, and the associated shower activity still remained as close as Muscatine.
Tomorrow will remain chilly and sunny, but the next wave, an almost clipper like system, will slide through the Upper Midwest on Wednesday. It doesn’t appear to be a very active system for Iowa, but it will bring some warmer temperatures.
