Ah Muncie. One of the various towns of Indiana. I have nothing else to say.
At 353PM, ET, Muncie was reporting a temperature of 80 degrees with clear skies. Muncie found itself between two strong bands of thunderstorms, one near Fort Wayne, and another extending southwest from Cincinnati along the Ohio River. A short wave moving through the Great Lakes was poised to interact with a surface boundary that has established itself along the Ohio River, extended southwest to the northwestern Gulf.
The low associated with the shortwave is the one to keep an eye on, as it is expected to develop into a well organized surface low, tapping the existing boundary and looking almost winter like. The low will begin to wrap north into Ontario and slow down, owing to weak flow. Tomorrow will be fairly rainy, while Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy and cooler.
Tomorrow – Rain likely, High 70, Low 60
Saturday – Mostly cloudy and pleasant, High 74, Low 57
TWC: Tomorrow – Isolated T-Storms High 71, Low 63
Saturday – Partly Cloudy, High 78, Low 55
AW: Tomorrow – Clouds and breaks of sun, breezy and cooler with a passing shower High 70, Low 61
Saturday – Partly sunny and nice High 74, Low 53
NWS: Tomorrow – A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am, then a chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, High 69, Low 60
Saturday – Sunny High 77, Low 54
WB: Tomorrow – Breezy…cooler. Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. High 70, Low 62
Saturday – Mostly sunny. High 76, Low 58
Temperatures in the 70s are going to feel rather chilly for Muncie to end the week. The break from the heat is undoubtedly appreciated, however. Radar shows those strong thunderstorms floating around.
