Santa Barbara, California

Ah California, my home for 5 years. Today, we see how nice it is in Santa Barbara, a lovely city along the SoCal shoreline. I was even accepted and seriously thought about attending UCSB back when pondering colleges, but ultimately decided to come to the Midwest. Let’s take a look at the weather I left behind as we move into the weekend!

At 8:53pm PDT, the temperature in Santa Barbara was 70 degrees under fair skies. A large, slow-moving low pressure system is sitting off the coastline of the Pacific Northwest, with a cold front inching inland over WA/OR. With a strong high pressure ridge in the Southern US, however, not much is really moving along through the Western US currently. This system over the Northwest will essentially stall out and continue spinning its wheels over the next couple of days. A general onshore flow will lead to low clouds creeping inland during the early morning hours along with fog, but then burn off later in the morning, giving way to sunny skies. All-in-all, should be a lovely weekend!

Saturday: Morning clouds and fog, giving way to afternoon sunshine. High 69, Low 57.
Sunday: More of the same as Saturday, with clouds burning off quicker though. High 70, Low 54.

TWC: Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 68, Low 55.
Sunday: Partly cloudy. High 68, Low 55.

AW: Saturday: Low AM clouds, then sunny. High 69, Low 54.
Sunday: Low morning clouds once again, then sunny. High 70, Low 53.

NWS: Saturday: Morning clouds. High 70, Low 55.
Sunday: Increasing clouds. High 70, Low 54.

WB: Saturday: Partly cloudy, some morning drizzle. High 68, Low 57.
Sunday: Partly cloudy. High 68, Low 56.

Here we see most of the clouds with the associated frontal system over the West Coast further north than our seaside location. Not much will change in the next couple of days either, so looks to be a gorgeous weekend!
