Sumter, South Carolina
All right, so I am still running behind on life. Normal tomorrow, I think.
At 1255AM, ET, Sumter was reporting a temperature of 61 degrees with clear skies. A southwesterly wind was drawing some moisture through the region, as a boundary stalled along the western slope of the Appalachians. A split flow through a mean trough was confusing the pattern somewhat, by means of interrupting the rainfall along a surface boundary, but overall flow was generally as expected.
A developing surface system will manifest itself at the base of the trough near the Mid-Mississippi Valley, and move northeast along the already established track along the Appalachians. The bulk of the rain fall associated with the system will stay over the Appalachians tomorrow, but inflow into the system will bring some clouds and drizzle into the area tomorrow. As the system makes it's way into the Mid-Atlantic, the associated cold front will push through on Friday morning. Rain won't be heavy, and there shouldn't be much by way of thunder, but Friday will get cooler.

Ouch. Weatherbug can't get the 48 hours necessary for the forecast. Everyone but them is going with a non standard day on Friday. Satellite shows where the present boundary is.
